About the Scarlet Guard
In 1983 following that year’s Appleton Flag Day Parade, some select members of Appleton’s American Legion Post 38 established the Scarlet Guard Color Guard to be the Post’s color guard. Since its inception the Scarlet Guard American Legion Color Guard has transitioned to have membership open to members of any American Legion Post, American Legion Auxiliary Unit, or Sons of the American Legion Squadron.
- Marching in parades
- Post and retrieve the colors at various ceremonies.
- Present the colors at various community events, school programs, sporting events, and more.
To request the services of the Scarlet Guard American Legion Color Guard or to inquire about membership contact Eric Stadler at 920.450.6907 or estadler@trustwf.com. The uniform is provided except for footwear and jacket.
